You Know It's Spring at Amber Fox . . .

When the rhubarb begins to sprout.

The temperature hits 22 C.

And frosty drinks are being served on the lawn.

The picture of the rubarb root reminds me of a recipe for a hair tonic. Boil 1 cup of chopped rubarb root in 4 cups of water for about 20 minutes stirring and mashing the root. Strain out the fiber and when the liquid is cool apply it to your hair. Let it dry in your hair. Wash it out with plain water an hour after it has dried. It will add brilliant blonde hilights to your hair. The leftover hair tonic can be kept in the fridge for repeated uses.
